The Facilitators Studio Workshop began yesterday at the Westin Hotel in Westminster, Colorado. The three-day class teaches professionals to become Extraordinary Facilitators™ and is based upon Barry Shapiro’s book, Casting Call, In the Theatre of Corporate America. The book is written as a play in order the accentuate the overlap between education and performance. Similarly, the workshop is divided into three acts with multiple scenes.
You could feel the energy as the students (protégés) enjoyed the morning of Day One (Act I), which focused on knowing yourself. They learned about “performance chops” and participated in a variety of exercises including a Chop-A-Logue facilitation practice, a Protegé Walkabout, and a Protégé Soliloquy.
